TooOld Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 How do I add a link to a post I made a month or so ago ? Instead of Updating , I started a new one . Now all of the original photos are buried in history . I've seen links on other posts but can't figure out how to do it . Thanks. BOB.
The Creative Explorer Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 In my honest opinion: I'd rather see updated topics than new on new on new topics with only one update. That way the whole story/build can be followed and it is way less cluttering on the boar.d
TooOld Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 I guess I wasn't clear about what I'd like to do . I started a WIP a month ago . When I did an update a couple of weeks ago , I started a new thread instead of updating the original . Now anyone who views my post doesn't know how I started the build . I just want to get the original WIP linked to my current post . BOB.
Terry Sumner Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Just go to the old thread and highlight the address up in the address bar with your cursor. Then press "CTRL" and "C" at the same time. This will save a copy of the address. Then go to your new thread and where you want that address to appear, press "CTRL" and "V" at the same time and it will then be copied to that spot.
The Creative Explorer Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 (edited) @Bob, ok, that is different. What I would do: Send a Private Message to one of the moderators and ask them to merge the two topics. Edited May 8, 2012 by The Creative Explorer
Foxer Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 do just what Terry says to copy the link. you can just past (ctrl V) it into your post, but to get slick type some to text, like? here's this post and highlight the text with your mouse. Then click the button above . about in the middle that says Link. then past that copied line in .. ctrl V. The link will be attached to your text.
Harry P. Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I merged the two. Next time, don't start a new thread! Just keep adding to the original.
