Jon Cole Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 I cannot upload photos from my hard drive to Fotki. I used to select an entire batch at once... now I cannot get anything to load. Any advice?
1320wayne Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 I just loaded new pictures just a few hours ago with no issues. There are many different formats you can use for loading pictures so it might be an issue with your computer and not Fotki.
Jon Cole Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 (edited) I read on another forum a claim that Fotki has changed their uploader... whatever that means. It appears to now be only Java compliant. I think I can upload... one photo at a time. That will take forever, I often upload 30 to 90+ photos at a time. Edited May 13, 2012 by Jon Cole
bill_rules Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Just did a test upload of a few pics, no problems and nothing noticeably different.
martinfan5 Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 I have been having problems, not with loading pics, but other things that use java, I think it might the web browser you are using, I have the same problems , and if I switch to a different one, It works .
Harry P. Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Java is a web browser issue, not a Fotki issue. Update your web browser to the latest version of whatever you're using. Old, outdated browsers can't handle the latest internet applications and functions.
niteowl7710 Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Geez doesn't anyone's scroll button on their mouses work? The old methods of uploading are linked directly BELOW the new Java uploader. Take a breath and actually look at things before inducing panic mood. Keep Calm & Continue Your Uploads...
Jon Cole Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 Geez doesn't anyone's scroll button on their mouses work? The old methods of uploading are linked directly BELOW the new Java uploader. Take a breath and actually look at things before inducing panic mood. Keep Calm & Continue Your Uploads... Um, that response is rather arrogant, yeah. To imply I am in a "panic mood" (shouldn't that read "panic mode?") is rediculous. If the mouse scroll button has something to do with this, perhaps you could explain how that works. As stated by others, it sounds like a browser issue, not a "mouse scroll & panic" issue. If you can't say anything nice...
Jon Cole Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 THANK YOU to Robert Downie, and Billy Kingsley, for your help answering this question, all without drama. Facebook is my friend.
