Diggerboi Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Hey guys, my name is Hal Sanguinetti and I'm the proud new owner of the real Walton-Cerny-Moody AA/FD that set the world record of 5.91 in winning the '72 Supernationals at Ontario. We found the car in Illinois being campaigned as a bracket car, bought it and it's now at Don Long's in SoCal getting restored. I'd like to find several of the MPC kits of the car; I've got one but would like a couple more. If you have one/several, please contact me off message board at diggerboi2@gmail.com . Thanks!
Mooneyzs Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Hal... that is awesome you are restoring this Dragster. I believe I may have met you at one of the swap meets at the postal union hall before. I don't have any of these kits but I will keep my eye out for them. I usually check ebay often on stuff. I have a few other questions that I want to ask you if you don't mind. I will email them to you
gasser59 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Congrats Hal. I know a local guy that has a number of kits so I'll contact him and see if he can come up with any. I'll let you know.
Dragline Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 The Garlits Swamp Rat 1-R kit is the same kit. In fact, the WCM kit came after the 1-R kit. The Garlits kit is easy to find. The decals can be made by many of the talented people here. Bob
Danno Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Hey, Hal! Welcome aboard! Good luck with the kit search.
AZ Boy Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Hal, check with Tom Neu. If anyone has it locally, it would be him.
