MAGNUM4342 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I just listed a big group of decals in the trade section and it occured to me that while looking through my decals some of them had yellowed with age. Is there a way to 'fix' yellowed decals so when the white ones are applied or applied on white there's no yellowing?
JustBill Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I've heard of putting them in direct sunlight is supposed to clear them up but I don't have any experience myself to say if that's true or not. Maybe someone else can say whether or not this is true and give you a better idea......
sportandmiah Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I've heard the same...sun will alleviate the yellow.
ZTony8 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Putting them in the sun does work but don't expect miracles. It's been my experience that some, but not all,of the yellowing goes away. This trick does not work on decals that were originally the wrong shade of white anyway(see Tamiya Ligier JS11 and Ferrari 312T3).
