Changes to forum

With the recent update/upgrade to the forum, some issues have come to light.

For the Birthdays, if there are no birthdays that day, there are no birthdays that day.

I increased the size limits for uploading photos, hopefully that helps out.

Turned back on the ability to hide/delete your own topics/posts.

Let me know if that doesn't work right.

Turned off ability to change name.

This is the reason the board went down.

There was a name change done before, and with over 8,000 posts by the member, the table got corrupted when trying to delete the account.

So, no more name changes.

Also, going to be revising the rules and guidelines a bit.

Will post those when they are finalized.

Just updates the warning system (which has always been in place, just may not have been visible to everyone else).

Might want to look at that again Gregg. It has been how many days since and no birthdays have been posted since.

Given the number of members that would be almost impossible to happen!

Personally I cannot remember a day without at least 1 birthday since joining!

Have you seen the new features in the calendar?

You can download to iCal on your Mac, and it will show up as a separate calendar, Model Car Shows/Events.

There are even options for attending, pretty cool!

The updates seem to have a lot of cool hidden stuff in them.

As for the prior deletion issue/problem/member, don't worry about, it's taken care of.

Im having a problem viewing posts with photos. the photos are hidden behind other posts, and you only see a small section of the photo, etc. I can get a screen shot if you need to see what It looks like.

Try to refresh your browser, or log out, delete your cookies and log in fresh.

IP tech said it's a custom skin template issue, which is bogus, since I'm only using the default skin, but since I added the MCM logo, and the tabs, it's now a custom skin, and not covered by their tech support

That is probably the dumbest thing I have ever heard, but that's just my two cents.

Those two changes are probably the most common changes to any board out there: why they don't incorporate those changes or possibilities into the equation is beyond me.
