Alyn Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Every year members of the KC Slammers build a slew of promotional models for the Heartland Nationals. I'm a relatively new member and finally stepped up to the plate and volunteered to build one. Since the theme car for this years show is the 32 Ford, all the promo's are some rendition of this icon of hot rodding. This one is a 3-window coupe. I've been wanting to try a model in a yellow/silver two-tone, so I decided to use this one as a test bed for this color combination. The model is a basic, out-of-box build that has been on the bench for the last week or so. This is the quickest build, by far that I've done, but mainly due to the striking color combo, it really grabs my attention. So much so that I'll be building a more detailed version in the near future. Hopefully some of you can make it to the Heartland Nationals next week end to check out this and hundreds of other midwest miniatures. The promo's are used for raffles, auctions and such at the show.
Chuck Most Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Glad I'm not in that club- I wouldn't want to give this one away. Very nice.

espo Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I will be buying some tickets next weekend. For those of you who have not had a chance to go to the Heartland Nationals, it is one of the best you will find anywhere.
