Gcustoms Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I'm down to no other options other than the stock single carb and round air filter which I don't want to use on a pro-street engine. Is there any tips anyone can give me about a custom intake? preferably simple to make as I don't have the space to run my compressor in my garage yet to run air tools.
VW Dave Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 There's no real 'rules' as far as what induction setup to run on a pro streeter...folks have run everything from single carbs to multiple turbos and blowers on a single vehicle(Google Rick Dobbertin's "Overkill" Nova or J-2000). It might help if you tell us what kit you're using, and what engine is going in it
Casey Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Which engine (and from which kit, if known) are you using?
Guest Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Dave's right. Just because it's a pro street doesn't mean it has to have multiple carbs. I've built a few pro streets and a couple of them have only one carb by choice. If you let us know what you're working on,we may be able to help you out with a dual carb intake.
VW Dave Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I have a feeling none of us have given the answer he wants.......
Gcustoms Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Actually I ask because I was fresh out of ideas, twin turbos would be cool to set up. thanks guys!
Gcustoms Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 http://static.hlj.com/images/amt/amt7200.jpg there's the kit - probably the least detailed way to make a camaro lol
