cobraman Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 (edited) Most of you are probably familure with this kit. It is kind of a throwback and the type of kit I built as a youngster. It is a cubside type of model being that the hood does not open and the chassis has all the detail molded in. Seats are molded as part of the interior. All in all a pretty simple kit so this should be a pretty quick build. Going to do it as a mild custom with a few modifications. Edited June 18, 2012 by cobraman
TooOld Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 It might be a curbside , but it builds up into a nice looking Ford ! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with .
Bartster Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I'll watch this, too. I love the car & am curious about the kits possibilities. Please, carry on.
cobraman Posted June 17, 2012 Author Posted June 17, 2012 Small update here. Things are moving along pretty quickly since this is such a simple kit. I molded in the front and rear roll pans and set in two sunken antenna tubes. The chassis ( such as it is ) has been detailed painted to the best of my ability. Not too bad considering it is a one piece unit.
vwrabbit Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 I have this one in my build queue. Will follow this! Very nice, simple kit. Tim
cobraman Posted June 18, 2012 Author Posted June 18, 2012 Small update. I got the body painted. It was done in black followed with a center stripe of HOK marblizer and then 3 coats of clear and polished some with Novus.
Bartster Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Very interesting. l wouldn't have thought of this scheme, but l gotta admit, she wears it well! Bart
Albie D Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 This is a fun kit. I dig the skunk stripe and the antennae.
cobraman Posted June 18, 2012 Author Posted June 18, 2012 Car is now done. Photos will be in the under glass section if interested.
