traditional Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 This 1/32 model of a small Japanese truck is from Fujimi and, like most current Japanese models, is well molded with good proportion, detail and no sink marks. The kits are not inexpensive, but to avoid the usual model kit sink marks, they probably use higher quality molds and a much slower mold cycle. They make a whole series of similar medium duty Japanese trucks. Paint is basecoat/clearcoat with Humbrol, Testors, and Tamiya for trim and detail.
cobraman Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Very nice. It is good to see some different types of models. Ya get tired sometimes of seeing the same old, same old.
ChrisR Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Nice model, just which they were 1/24 scale even the forklifts.
Chuck Most Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Wrong section... 1:1 reference pics are supposed to go down the page a little.
Gluhead Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Great looking truck. These have caught my eye lately. I'm scale stupid - any chance you could take a pic of this next to a 1/25 scale somethingorother for size reference?

Sure, I don't have a 1/25 similar Japanese truck so this isn't 'apples to apples', but it's a reasonable comparison of two 1 ton trucks....one in 1/25 and the other in 1/32. Helix Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Nice build mate, just wish it was 1/25, because I've seen a few other 1/32 Fujimi kits that would make interesting subjects in the 'usual' scale
Gluhead Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 That works just fine. Thanks a lot. Now I know they belong on my "need" list.
