cortinanut Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 You my know my great uncle, Sammy Church. Owns Church's Christmas Trees and the Jefferson Rent All. I cant remember the name of the restaurant he owns, but he has his all original model t on display there (read unrestored) Small world! I've probably run into him at the Rent-All at some point. Man, I'm curious about the restaurant--I don't believe I've ever seen a T at a restaurant around here.
cortinanut Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Steve, Next time I am up near West Jeff I will have to seek out the Hobby Barn, sounds like a great place. The Hobby Barn gets by in such a small down by diversifying--they have a ton of stuff that's really not even hobby per se, but then there's a decent model section. The prices are good and now and then you'll come across an older kit you can't believe is still on the shelf. At the moment they also have bottles of Pro Modeler paint that they're selling off for $1 apiece, all piled in baskets.
Dave Van Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 There is nothing to not like about both of the Carolinas! Living in NC from Dec 1969 to 2002, meeting my wife there and my kids all born there......you'd think I would have a good memory of NC.......WRONG!!! I won't waste Greg's bandwidth here to explain....if by chance you want to know.....I'll inform offline....but all I can say is 'Thank God and Greyhound I'm gone!!!"
