Seems like everyone is building these lately... I'm goin with this one....this is for a buildoff on Layitlow....

So far I've shaved the trim, gutters, handles, and hood.... It's been skirted and front and rear pans molded in....

I'll be watching this one. Fell in love with the Merc after watching the one Stallone drove in the movie "Cobra".

I loved that car!

Tried my hand at frenching antennas.... I think they look alright....

This kit is another of my favorites, I may even like it better than the Revell kit because it has a really nice flathead and an opening trunk that really works!

Love the 49 merc, I just started mine the other night. You've got a good start, looks great all laid out. Look forward to seeing where you take this.

nice start! the antennae look great, and so does the engine......

i built one of these way back when........i chopped the top 3 scale inches, removed all the trim, sectioned the body 4 scale inches......i went way overboard on it! LOL ill post some pics of it in "under glass" when i get a chance.

im posting it right now james, let me know what you think. this was the first merc that i ever chopped up like this. its not my best work, but its ok.
