Monty Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Model Rectifier Corp made some killer Keystone Klassics*, but their tires were kinda iffy. As you might be able to tell from the box art, the wheels slip in through the back side of the tire while still giving the impression of an outer wheel lip. I'm hoping someone on here has found more accurate model tires that will work with these wheels. Please post up pics if you've found a solution. *I'm told their Cragar S/S wheels were dead-on as well, but you can hardly swing a dead cat without hitting a kit with good Cragars.
LoneWolf15 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Monty , I know for a fact that the Revell street Willys rear tires will fit the MRC wheels . As for the front , I believe I used parts box tires from an AMT kit .
Draggon Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 The front tires are ancient Revell items that I hogged out to fit. The rears are from the Revell Goodguys 40 Ford, slightly trimmed with and exacto.
Abell82 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 IF ...you can find them... American Satco Dunlop 185 r 14's (The rear ring will need to be trimmed from the wheel to fit the tire.)
