PatRedmond Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Obviously it still needs BMF etc....., but wondering if you think a few tastefully added scallops would be OK or too much? Interior is gold/champagne Body is Testors Auto Lacquer Artesian Turquoise Metallic. W-170C wheels from ModelHaus. Tires are Firestones painted by Irv Arter Jr.
FASTBACK340 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I vote scallops, but maybe something in silver?
BIGTRUCK Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Super cool Pat , I'd lean towards white licks with BMF or de-chromed with the gold , cool wheel choice very period , what flakes did you use and can we see the back.............
PatRedmond Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 I vote scallops, but maybe something in silver John..., all I have is the Fred Cady Gold scallop sheet. Super cool Pat , I'd lean towards white licks with BMF or de-chromed with the gold , cool wheel choice very period , what flakes did you use and can we see the back Ken,..... no flakes! Right out of the can!
BIGTRUCK Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Clean lines , good stance gotta love it kinda build , maybe a little scroll work down low . I used that Cady sheet in red on my '62 ford pickup build , but ruined it by grabbing gloss coat instead of dull coat CSC'd and started over , be careful on the long decals the split kind of easy.
Jairus Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Very nice build! Your choice to use the scallops was a good one... 8)
paulcolt Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 looks great, really like the "big flake" look to the paint.
SlipMahoney Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Pat, those scallops are dead on perfect, as are the chrome wheels. Have you given any thought to baby moons with those rims? They've always gone well together.
BIGTRUCK Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Yes sir , you betcha , thats the ticket , that rear shot looks mighty fine
