shafer Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 this kit is supposed to come out this year does anyone have any info when it will be released.
Casey Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I haven't heard a release date yet, but I wouldn't expect one 'til next year at the earliest.
Casey Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Clyde- you can always e-mail Round2 at: info@round2models.com and ask when it's coming out, too. They are great at responding quickly to e-mails.
MAGNUM4342 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Polar is in the midst of re-tooling the Street Charger version right now. Originally scheduled for a December release (for the Christmas rush) it will most likely be hitting our shores late Jan, or early Feb. 2013. Since the car depicts the 1973 Charger, the goal is to have it ready in time for the anniversary of it's win at Daytona. A little bat told me.

'70 Grande Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Time to start saving my pennies then! I wonder what price this kit will retail for?
Casey Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Time to start saving my pennies then! I wonder what price this kit will retail for? Probably in the $30-$40 range, but I would guess closer to $40. It will be interesting to see if the mold the body in white or clear plastic.
'70 Grande Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 It would be interesting to see, if the, "molded in White or Clear plastic" question is one of those questions that we modelers could have some impact on answering for Round-2. I, personally, would prefer the body to be molded in White plastic. I suspect that Round-2 believes there might be more potential sales in a Clear-molded body, (the same reasoning that was used when this kit was originally issued by MPC in the mid-1970's). I'd like to see a poll of model builders to see what other builders think. Then, if possible, I'd like to see the results of that poll communicated to the product-people at Round-2. I believe, if Round-2 used the results of that poll in the reissue of this iconic kit, they'd get nothing but positive results from the marketplace. ("We listened to you, model builders, and are giving you the product that you've asked for!")... just my two cents!
shafer Posted August 11, 2012 Author Posted August 11, 2012 I plan on buying 2 one for clear body and one to paint
