chuckyr Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 (edited) Dear friends, after the success of the first Italeri “contest on line” dedicated to aircrafts scale models, we are proud to introduce the second “contest on line” dedicated to the fantastic world of 1/24 scale trucks and trailers. Send us by e-mail your scale models trucks pictures to photo@italeri.com, before 30th September 2012. We will evaluate them, according to the parameters indicated here below and we will publish on line our “top chart” We will evaluate your works in the following categories (from 1 to 5 points) 1 – Historical consistency 2 – Modeling skills (assembly, painting, ..) 3 – Scenario (aging, setting…) 4 - Picture quality (light and shadow, angle of the photo, absence of disorder elements ..) 5 – Supporting description (text able to describe the operational aspects, historical use and modeling details) The "top chart" will be done according to the sum of the scores collected in the categories listed above. The best scale models, together with those models who have got our interest, will be published on line with its scorecard. Italeri also reserves the right to assign to the top score scale modes, published on line, some compliments. Good luck … Edited August 2, 2012 by chuckyr
lapazleo Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Interesting, been thinking about Euro truck project for a change of pace. Italeri makes some nice Euro truck kits. If we let them know were out here by participating they'll bring on some new kits.
Chad Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 do they have to be box stock or can they be modified? Chad
XJRV8 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 It must be an Italeri kit. It can be out of the box, modified using aftermarket parts, painted how you want. There should be a Gallery of previous builds on their site.
BigBad Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Has anybody submitted stuff yet? I'm thinking about it.

XJRV8 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I seen the last contest and there was a gallery of models. Some had aftermarket parts and painted as I said to your own colors. This gallery I can not find now, Italeri keep updating their web page. There is a link to "Your Models" so maybe they are in here??? http://www.flickr.com/photos/italeri/
bandit1 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 when does it end?...i only have 3 trucks...and none of them are near paint stage yet!
highway Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 when does it end?...i only have 3 trucks...and none of them are near paint stage yet! Yeah, I want to know about that too!! It's not that mine isn't near paint, I just have to have time to get into the new house that isn't on 18 wheels so I can finish a certain Italeri Ford LOL!!
chuckyr Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 when does it end?...i only have 3 trucks...and none of them are near paint stage yet! Wow, i have no way of finding that out.
highway Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 when does it end?...i only have 3 trucks...and none of them are near paint stage yet! Sean, since I have found through the years that not only does Chucky not seem to be very willing to help anyone but has a "know it all" attitude as well, I happened to notice this in his original post when coming back to this thread. Send us by e-mail your scale models trucks pictures to photo@italeri.com, before 30th September 2012.
doogie7046 Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 It must be an Italeri kit. It can be out of the box, modified using aftermarket parts, painted how you want. There should be a Gallery of previous builds on their site. I think if you are going to modify it you may consider using parts from other Italeri kits, just might give you an edge if you do something custom that can be replicated using all their parts. Heck, if they like it enough it won't be hard for Italeri to bring out a model kit with the custom parts used on the build and that will be a win win situation for all.
