vintagedragfan Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 Hi Anne, as you know by now, this stuff we do here is tedious, but some how we manage to get it done, and sometimes cursing a little helps, at least for me Yea Bill, the kit 4 speed looked so good laying there, I took the easy way out, sorry it won't happen again Bill Hey Alyn, at least MY knuckles don't drag the ground
vintagedragfan Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 I got a little progress made on the floor, here is what I have so far and the under side not much to look at, but thanks for looking
MikeyB08 Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Man... This is so awesome!! I envy your work and craftsmanship. Really astounding!
David Thibodeau Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Breathtaking work Bill.... Really dont have words for this project!
JunkPile Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Keep up the good work. Will you be building a mini bead roller?
BKcustoms Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 This is amazing, every piece looks so clean and perfect. Keep up the great work!
TFchronos Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Amazing work as always, every piece is a work of art.
Chas SCR Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Great work Bill, it has lead me to trying also had at brass work for a project and between you and Mark it just make a person better. Thank you again for all your help.
FASTBACK340 Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 How the #@&$ did you form what appears to be a ONE PIECE floorboard. ?!?!?!?! HOW ?!?! If you have to, please type slowly.... and use pictures. I just can't wrap my head around this if its one piece.....
vintagedragfan Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013 thank you Mike Mr, Thibodeau, thanks so much for the kind words, really means a lot hey Alyn, more like socks on a rooster maybe, hanks buddy thanks Jake Chuck, hey buddy we have missed you at the meetings! I wish I had one, come in kinda handy right now, thanks man appreciate it Billy, hope to see you at the Heartland Tyrone, thanks man
vintagedragfan Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013 thanks Jonathan! hey Chas, It is fun and challenging at the same time, thanks bro hey John, yea it is 1 piece, I made a template and transferred it to the brass, cut it out and used parallels in the vice for a metal break, and a drill rod to form the hump, still not sure how I'm going to get all of this together, I have to be careful or I will paint myself into a corner, I lost the instruction's, can't seem to find them
Platerpants Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 lost the instructions for the kit? this kits been out so much in different versions mainly the stock version but the instructions should be easy to find online if thats what you mean. This thing is just too awesome who needs instructions when you can go online and find reference photos on every inch of the car. My dad did that for his hemi cuda and a ta challenger that he just randomly stopped working on after getting it 90% done.
GoatGuy Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 "not much to look at" he says.................c'mon, it's beautiful.
dimebolt Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I got to see the MIGHTY HEMI again today, and the chassis for the first time today! The chassis is every bit as wicked as the motor going in it!!! It's gonna be radical when it's done!!! Trust me on that one. :-)
FASTBACK340 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Used a vise as a sheet metal press. Makes sense! Beautiful results. I'll have to practice this next. What I'd give to see this build, in any state of assembly, in person. Geeeez....
Scale-Master Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Clean progress Bill. Can't wait to see it in person!
