SFRC Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) Here is a model I've been neglecting for quite a while. Changing the body work is rather difficult. The original car, bought as a slant nose with a lot of rust. The engine on the other hand appeared to be OK. As the front wheels hit the fenders the onwer changed them into 993 fenders. I started with two models, a Welly 911 Turbo and a Bburago 993 One side is nearly finished Edited August 8, 2012 by SFRC
SFRC Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 This is the present status. Time to make the body smooth.
SFRC Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 The model is now at the paintshop for its bright yellow paint. Meanwhile I started on the interior. The old interior, a black and dark plastic place Now in light brown, including rear seats from the donor 911
Mike Kucaba Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Nice work, cutting into diecast is no fun,and working in larger scales has it's problems too. I like those side strakes also.
SFRC Posted October 9, 2012 Author Posted October 9, 2012 Now I have added the wheels And some small black lines
SFRC Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 Finally finished! It will be off to Curacao this week. And a video on YouTube: http://youtu.be/-AlUWz5-UMc
sjordan2 Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 You've done it again - world-class work. Nicely done video.
