cruz Posted August 12, 2012 Author Posted August 12, 2012 Speaking of beautiful paint, what did you use on the engine. I've got one of these in the stash and I'd like to try to make it at least 10% as nice as yours. Oh, and can I be your friend? thanks guys. I used testors gold enamel from the small bottles but dulled the finish with testors dull coat. After this I shot 1 coat of clear and finally a black wash.
Shardik Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Thanks for the quick response, Marcos. I've made a note of it on the instruction sheet, so I don't forget by the time I actually get around to building it.
sak Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) So badass . What say you do a cranky style youtube tutorial on the bare metal foil yes? Or at least reveal your secret to removing the ripples. Edited August 14, 2012 by sak

Just make sure to wet sand your body well in these areas and you will not get any ripples. If you have orange peel in these areas, it will show through the foil, simple as that...
Gluebomber Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Absolutely beautiful work, Marcos. I have the Hornet convertible and hope it comes out half as nice as yours.
edward smith Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Awesome build, best one I've seen of this car. Foil is gorgeous, congrats on a terrific build.
