Well I finally finished the '64 Mercury Comet. Took a bit more time then I would have liked, but.....

Now I'm not the best of photographers, and I'll bet that I took eighty photos of this model in about every lighting condition that I could come up with and still I wasn't able to capture the true color. I used Testors, Metalizer Lacquers, Gunmetal and Aluminum Plate on the exterior. Interesting paint. I probably should have buffed it out a little sooner then I did, but over all the look came close to what I was hoping to achieve.

When using these paints, take care when buffing. Just like buffing a real car, when you place too much pressure, or linger to long, it will burn the paint off of the high spots.

Anyway. It looks a lot better then when I bought it off of "Ebay".
