Even though the Monogram Model A coupe is 1/24, it can be mixed and matched without stretching believability too far. I did this one a few years ago.

I'm pretty sure the hood and grille are 1/25 from AMT.

There is a transkit available for a 36 phaeton and the bloke that casts the trucks that goes to Ballarat does a 35 ute, but seems reluctant to sell them. I have sent him 4 emails no reply.

Price, uncertainty about quality (unless you have used the caster before), thickness of bodyshells, uncertain ethics (unless you know better), long delivery times, ordering difficulties due to no pics or no website...

If we're wishing....what about a '27 Ford. I hasve at least three projects that I'd love to build. They are available in resin, Jimmy Flintstone for one, but I'd like a more consistent casting than the JF one.

I've been working on a one-off to do one of the old 'little pages' Rod&Custom cover cars. I've also been seriously thinking about getting into some limited-production resin casting, mostly old-school rod bits not available elsewhere. Anyone else interested in an accurate and thin-casting '27?

Well when you put it that way,your right,resin certainly is a crapshoot!
