Jantrix Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Take this for what it's worth, but you will notice a distinct lack of feedback since you started posting videos. Most forum readers do NOT want to take the time to watch them, myself among them. Give us some decent photos and a brief description and you will see a lot more interest in your work.
Bartster Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 hahaha! l had no idea there were videos hidden in the blank posts! Can't see a thing. l sure would like to though!

H.A.K Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 OK so I found som really old pics of the front seats of the wagon. But here's the prob. I cant recreat the pattern on the seat. If you looked at the last video or pics I showed you what I was able to come up with. I hate it but dont know what to do about it. ???? What you all think.
Bartster Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 ls it leopard skin? lf so, it would be VERY tedious, but paint it orange/yellow & dot with black, fading to brown Sharpies. Bart.

H.A.K Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 No it's flames. Crushed velvet seat covers.
Bartster Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Wow! Almost impossible to do in scale. White flocking & dry brush red, orange & yellow? You might actually be able to use the small scale to your advantage: perhaps the tri-colors would be recognizable enough as fire that the absence of flame patterns wouldn't really matter?
H.A.K Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 Thanks man. I might leave it that way or just redo it altogeter.
H.A.K Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 Make a decal to cover the seats? Dont have the right printer or decal paper, BUT if someone here can do that for me Id pay you for it.
Shardik Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I couldn't get the pattern repeat exactly right, but maybe this will help. copy, print, cut it out and glue it down.

crazyjim Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I've never done my own decals, but Wayne Stevens, Jr., - wayne1320, or is he 1320wayne does outstanding decals. He's building the Cobra drag racer in the WIPS. I don't know if he makes them for others though.
Shardik Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Dude thats kool as H_LL. Thanks Ill do that. Happy I could help.
Gluhead Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Yepper, I'd see if one of the guys on here would be willing to print a couple seat covers out for ya. I'd offer, but I don't have a working printer these days. But I'd bet someone would do it, especially if you sent them the decal film for their printer. Oh, and cool project. Glad you switched to pics.
