Soooo ? How much skin do you have left on your fingers after that bout with the sandpaper !

Personal preference on my part , I'd like to see a little bit less of a rearward tilt of the motor . I'd lower it in the front just a bit more . Otherwise , you're rolling in the right direction as far as I'm concerned ! As always , I'm looking forward to the color scheme !

Thank you, folks, I am making very slow progress today. Working on a new distributor and seeing if I can squeeze it into the front.

Thanks, Bill. I am making very slow progress, and believe it or not, I've spend the last couple of days working on the distributor to which I am adding a couple of after market parts.

All right, I am starting to feel like this one is getting closer to getting primer and paint. Now that I have all the sub-assemblies ready . . .

The distributor is now up front and it's going to be capped with an after market piece. Looking forward to seeing it stick out of the modified hood a little bit.

This is a great engine, but boy do the parts require sanding and cleaning. Donn warned me, but it's definitely a beauty inside this build.

I think I will build a new grill out of mesh so that the moon tank can be seen through it.

Here are a few more shots:

I am really liking this angle . . . nothing like engine guts sticking out of the hood to get a styrene addict salivatin', right?

Looks like it will be a sucsessful operation doctor. I just had to do a simular operation to the hood on my Mustang gasser build because the oil filler tube was too high to let the hood sit down.

Todd, you must be psychic. I a leaning towards deep burgundy/stop light red with flakes. Yes, yes. I can see it now.

Ray, all I can say is thank heavens for Dremel small sanding drums. :D :D :D

Hey !

You got off lucky , all you had to sand was the engine assembly ! Wait till you have to do the whole kit , the air in the shop will be a nice indigo blue color in no time from all of your cussin ! Lmao !

I really like this ! The engine sits real pretty in the frame , you've gone the extra mile on this and it shows !

I'm lovin' this ! You're bein extra careful , while I , on the otherhand , am playin' slap dab at it ! What a flip flop , role playing wise ! Lol !

Doc stoplight red with flakes thats the color i think that the old man would agree.Would you be considering any alclad for some of the engine parts?

Mike, I think the Old Man would approve! ;):P:D:lol:

Thanks, Donn, without your guidance on this one, it would have been a real pain. So far so good, so we are making progress.

Ha, you have it easy slinging all that salt and gunk around. LOL.

Mike, yes, I am doing a few parts in Alclad.

Thanks, John and Derrick. Donn will tell you this thing is kicking my behind, real bad. But I'm tougher than a millipede swimming in a pool of lacquer thinner. LOL.

I believe this model might turn out to be one of my favorites, and I am not trying to talk it up, but when you end up using parts from like over six kits, things can get to be quite a bit of fun.

Shooting the paint tonight, and I hope the enamel muses are with me here in the shop. Oh, Lordy!
