I use a red oxide or ruddy brown primer as a base... Once its dried i take table salt and sea salt and after I dampen the body, I sprinkle both salts over the car.... After its air dried, I spray my body color and let it dry, then lightly scrub with a toothbrush under cool water to remove the salt..... After that dries, I take a cosmetic sponge and some acrylic paint such as burnt umber and burnt sienna and barely dab it in the paint and just dab it lightly over the body....

The results will look like....
