Austin T Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 (edited) Does anyone make a 1/12 resin kit for the revell kit. It's one of my favorite movies and I loved the bike and almost flipped out when I saw the bike for 5 bucks at the flea market the other day. Edited August 28, 2012 by Austin T

monkeyclaw Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 The closest thing I know of is the old heller 1/8 scale godier Genoud Kawasaki 1000 race bike....it's a great kit; may be hard to find one now; but will give you just the right "look".............Matt
Austin T Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 Thanks guys,I tried rocket fin and didn't find anything using keywords like mad max,Jim goose, goose, Kawasaki,kz-1000,ect. I looked at the heller kit and it looks close, but it's 1/8th scale so I think I will have to scratch one.I'll just stash this kit back for awhile, then when my skills are good enough I think I will drag it out.
dimaxion Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Try , at rocketfin , Cosmos Factory is the one I keep seeing . I've never opened this one . Thanx ..
zenrat Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 (edited) So what do you have already? You say "the Revell kit", do you mean this one? This one has a more correct shape tank but you'll need to scratch up some side panels and a tail piece. The tricky parts will be the wheels and the fairing. Look at Tamiya kits for the wheels. They definately do some with cast 5 spokes that might be modifyable to suit. This might give you something to work with and also give you a start on the fairing You'd have the 'screen bubble to start with which will be the most difficult part to source - the rest can be built up from styrene sheet. Austin T Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 The one I have is this one it doesn't have a faring at all.
zenrat Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 That's a pretty good start. Side panels and tank are more correct. Those 5 or 7 spoke wheels?
sstacey47 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 There is one listed on ebay now for $8,hope this helps.Sean
