BIGTRUCK Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Great photos Vince...good mix of classics and show trucks..
rottin1 Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Nice pictures Vince. The wife and I just returned home tonight from Carlisle. We spent Friday and Saturday there.Probably walked right by you 50 times!!! Awesome show and awesome equipment there. I was in my glory. There weather was perfect for it too. And to kick things off, we took an hour drive Saturday night over to Buck,Pa and caught the Lucas Oil tractor pulls. If we had known about it before hand, we could have caught the sprint cars at Williams Grove Friday night. I'd definetly go to Carlisle again. Awesome show and alot of stuff to do.
Bowtienutz Posted August 6, 2007 Author Posted August 6, 2007 It was a great show I didn't relly spend much more tme there other than looking at the big trucks. I found myself really beat from the heat. It was a tough week at work. I wandered around the swap meet awile, found some 1:1 parts for my project. IT was the first time I saw a Bighorn Dodge in real life. That name really fits. Did you notice that there was some empty space inside the building It would be interesting if we could hook up with the promotors and have a model truck display next year. Come visit the PSAB chat. http://client.sigmachat.com/sc.php?id=12510 I live just off IH-81 maybe next year we can hook up before the show on your way down. I bet you missed roadside America during your visit too. I'd like to see the pictures you took. Vince Nice pictures Vince. The wife and I just returned home tonight from Carlisle. rottin1 Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 (edited) Vince: Our paths almost did cross. I was going through your pictures last night and I noticed in the second to last picture. You took a picture of the back of the Red Peterbilt that the Chrome Shop Mafia built and theres a guy there getting ready to take a picture of his wife with the Chrome shop boys. My wife and I were standing with them in line talking to them! We were next in line behind her to get autographs. Small world! We're definelty going next year and I'll take you up on that meet and greet! I think it would be neat to meet somebody from here. The Dodge Big Horn was a cool truck. We watched it pull in and park, and I told my wife,"there's a truck you don't see much of anymore". By the way, what did you do to your pictures? I went to save the Blue Kenworth cabover to my screensaver and it said protected. Is that something you did? Just wondering. Thanks again for the really nice pictures you've shared.
