Joe Handley Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 who writes the voice overs for these things? thats who should be shot, the tunnel ram is obviously not made of steel, the carbs are quite obviously edelbrokes, and a 454 and 450 hp like 450 is a big deal? a big block with 2 4's and a tunnel ram making only 450 horse has something seriously seriously wrong.. are we talking THIS car or early fords in general? This car? Ace garage guy nailed it. also id fix the bloody door gaps so the doors you know actually SHUT also: now that ive heard the thing run... id fix the timing and tune the carbs... the thing is running like GARBAGE. in general? as a man wiswer than me said, If it aint broke....leave it the frig alone! (i'm paraphrasing.) Wanna bet that motor is a truck smog motor with parts, chrome, and pretty paint
Junkman Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 you do realize that on closed body Model A Fords, the doors overlap the body ON PURPOSE and "gaps" are not a flaw.... You are, of course, correct. I always admired how tight Ed Roth got the "gaps" on his Little Jewel.

Junkman Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 30's Ford is perfect no matter how its done,,I've seen rat rods, to Show cars,, and there the Best looking car around But how you build it,,is all up to the owner. what one likes, the other hates,, Of course it's all a matter or personal opinion and taste. But the expressing of exactly that is what I think Dr. Cranky invited.
