TooShea Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I am new to building car models. Today I started to spray paint the body of my 67 Chevelle SS and I think I was spraying to close to my model because the paint ran on one side. I let it dry completely then took a small nail file and sanded it down. Spray painted again and it came out great. Does anyone have any tricks of the trade they would like to share so I won't make this mistake again?
sjordan2 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I'll say it before someone else moves your question and you can't find it (they won't tell you it's been moved) - move this post to the Modeling Q&A forum, further down the main page... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showforum=8
JollySipper Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Hi.... usually you will want to start out with light mist coats followed by a slightly heavier color coat... also, try to find something you can practice your technique on.... Sounds like you handled it pretty well, though....hope this helps
