Privateer Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Here's Revells new Merc. Nice kit, went together without any headaches at all. I did not care for the window glass though, it has the molding molded in the clear. The kit comes with very nice METAL exhaust tips, you can see one of them in the pics. I painted the car with Testors laquer, Artesian Turquoise , left in suede. enjoy the pics.

41CHEVY Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 only one word...WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Paul
Peter Lombardo Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Great job on it and I guess congratulations are in order as I believe you are the first one to post a completed Revell 49 Merc. I haven't even seen it available yet, so nice going. Question...are those Hubcaps in the kit? and does it come with cowl mounted spotlights, as I think that, and lake pipes are the only missing period correct touches. Anyway, nice build...I am looking forward to getting my hot little hands on that kit.
Peter Lombardo Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Dauh, it does have lake pipes...my mistake. Sorry, I kept thinking about the metal exhaust tips, forgetting that it also had side pipes. Upon my second look, it is still a nice build.
Dave McFly Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 is the frame seperate from the floorboards? I am planning on making this into the Merc in the movie COBRA. Anybody know where i can get a hood scoop like on the 1/1 car? the 1/1 car is a 50, is there THAT much of a difference between a 49 and 50?
