Mercman Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I have been asked to build a bike kit for another auction. This one will be for the guy who was manager of the Vets Club in Casselton. He passed away a month ago at the age of 38. Leaves a wife, and 2 kids. Here is the kit I will be ising. I haven't built a bike kit in 30 tears so this should be interesting.
Mercman Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Got a good portion of the bike built this weekend. Primer is done, lots of sub-assemblies are done. Paint color will be HOK Green. He used to own a bar called T's Shamrock, so with this in mind I found these buttons, that are the right size for replacing a couple of the kit pieces. I put this one on the Belt Drive cover instead of the Maltese Cross emblem. I thought it gives it a more personal touch to the build.
Mercman Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 Got some color on the frame, and tank. HOK Lime Green Pearl.
Cool Hand Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Good start, look forward to seeing more of this build.

Mercman Posted October 21, 2012 Author Posted October 21, 2012 The winning bid was $110.00. Not to bad for a kit I paid a $1.00 for on a raffle. People were amazed at the detail, and how it looked. Even some real Harley Riders made comments on how it looked.
Cool Hand Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Thats great Junior, well done. And it would have be a nice moment for you to have received comments from 1:1 riders.
Mercman Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Luke I cant take all of the credit, without your help it wouldn't have looked as good. THANKS ONCE MORE.
