W-409 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I'm building the Gasser Simca on my Gasser & AWB Community Build, and I'm in trouble. Where do I connect the cable what leaves from the parachute launching handle, which is in the cabin? Not maybe the clearest description, but I hope you got the point. Other question: When there's a Mechanical tachometer, where do I connect that cable? It comes to engine, but where? Any help would be appreciated.
southpier Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 this is the clearest picture i could find: http://www.303rdbg.com/u-1342.jpg
W-409 Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Thanks, Joe! That helps me enough to get the cable installed. Now back to the bench.

futurattraction Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Here's a closeup picture of a mechanical tach cable on a 351C pro stock engine.

W-409 Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 Thanks, Leo! I installed the parachute handle to the roll cage. Tachometer will be mounted to steering shaft (or what it is called).
