Does anyone have any online referrals they can give us on where to buy Dupont Clear Coat A7480s that Dr. Cranky recomends using as a clear coat ? Thanks in advance for any places.

I did a search on Amazon like Dr. Cranky suggested and no results were found. I also did a search on Evilbay and no results as well. Is this stuff still manufactured or has it been discontinued ? It seems pretty sparse and hard to get a hold of.

I cant even find it on Evilbay. Thats what makes me think it may be a discontinued item. Dr. Cranky speaks very highly of it and gets his from a friend that works for Dupont I believe. Hey Doc, hook a fellow modeler up with a couple cans of it if you have access to it ha ha ha. Doc rocks!!!!

I did that myself Sir. Thought maybe someone had a specific dealer or place they bought this product from that was readily available. Thanks for the info.

Was trying to help, I didnt have time to look at the results, so I just posted the link

Not everyone checks google first, dont take offense to the posting ;)

You could just PM Dr. Cranky and ask where he buys from. He's pretty open as far as that. I'm sure he'd tell you.

I already know where he gets it which isnt an available resource for me lol. He has a friend that works at Dupont. No offense taken Martinfan :) Id really like to score about four or five cans of this stuff if its discontinued ha ha. Maybe even a case if the funds permit and can be found lol.

Here ya go....six cans for $117.60.

OR, look in your phone book for a local auto-body and auto-paint supply store that carries the DuPont line. They will have it.

It's not really intended to be sold to the general public.

Here's the link to the TDS (technical data sheet) from DuPont.

@Darren: Got ya...was just a thought. The website that Bill posted above is what I found too. A little pricey, but If memory serves, it's a 6 pack case of 22+oz rattle cans. It better be good stuff for that price! Good luck.
