Wouldn't it be nice if somebody would (would have?) highlight(ed) this event with a fully dressed and new W900 model kit? What do you guys think? Such an iconic vehicle should be celebrated in some way and this would be a very nice way to do it. Start the discussion!

jacobus Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 i have a book of the history of kenworth it started as gerlinger motor company in 1915 and the first constuction was a gersix truck the take the ger from gerlinger and a six from the concept of big six cilinder motor its a long story til 1922 on 23 december when the name kenworth was born after a lot of suggestions the have a combination of mr kent and mr worthington the kenworth motor truck corporation was formed i hope that its helps for the history of this beautiful truck i love those kenworth,s jacobus

jacobus Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 i have a picture of a kw from 1949 looks like the al the convencionals after that time w type was 1961 what tj said kw busses and coaches have in 1937 k and w type,s the older ones have numbers if the book is wrong sorry guys but it have a lot of old pictures of the development of type,s like cab beside engine k type [no emblem on the radiator] bullnose etc jacobus

Well, Revell didn't bring out the 2010 Mustang GT kit until well into 2011, as just one example I can think of. Seems like only Tamiya and Revell AG get current models out in the current model year. Of course, this is assuming a 50th anniversarry W900 kit was even in the cards...
