I am going to build his 1970 Corvette Funny Car.Would he be running a Chevy 427/454 or had the NHRA mandated the 500 cu,in. block by then?

I did do a Google search and did not find a answer.

Thanks,

Mike

Although it may not be the answer your looking for.

But my gutt says it was based on a 427 series block and heads.

But,,,,,I'm not all that well versed on NHRA rules of the time period either.

I think that would be correct. Most teams which still ran BBCs in '70 still used a stock-based block. The 396 in the Revell '65 Chevelle Z-16 is a really good starting point.
