My ex-sister-in-law and her husband used to live in Glendale, and we visited there several times.

Does that count? :P

Ok, I'll let it slide since I have family down there in Illinois...too many places to list.

Cruise night starts tomorrow Thursday May 16th at The Tilted Kilt in Kenosha from 5 - 9 pm and I hope to see some of you there. Bring your camera for some great reference photos as well.

It was a small cruise night, but not bad for their very first one. some good lookin' cars, the food was good, and the "Tilted Kilt girllz" were cute. A friend of mine showed up with a "bitchin" flamed '55 Chevy. They'll be doing this cruise every Thursday night from now on. Stop by and check it out.

Hey just noticed this post.

I'm from the Miller Park area.

Also wanted to note that since you're bringing up cruise nights, I found this: http://www.wednesdaynightclassics.com/cgi-bin/Calcium38.pl/Calcium38.pl?CalendarName=wnccalendar&Op=ShowIt&Amount=Month&NavType=Absolute&Type=Block&Date=2013%2F5%2F1

And wanted to note that Thursday nights at QS&L is not only cruise night but all-you-can-eat wings night.

I've heard of the Quaker Steak & Lube Cruise night and know people who go there, as well as Captain Bob & Arlo from Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio, however it is a bit too far for me to travel for a cruise night than I like. Kenosha is closer for me. Thanks.

Wow, not only did the Attack of the Plastic Contest & Swap Meet look good, the 1:1 car show along the northwest shore of beautiful Lake Delavan had close to 800 cars registered and most were really nice rides. I can't wait 'til next years show. I also got to cruise around the lake with a good friend of mine and his wife in their boat. A great day.

The S.L.A.M. club (Southern Lakes Auto Modelers) had their monthly meeting tonight in Delavan, Wisconsin and it is always a good time. Tonight was swap meet night and several members brought kits to sell. The monthly meetings consist of a "build & bull" session with most members participating in the "bull session," however some members do build at the meetings as well.

Awesome 1:1 car show today at Palmen Dodge in Kenosha today with LOTS of great lookin' cars, free food, live band, and the Telstar "fuel dragster" Racing Team displayed their beautiful dragster and semi tractor & trailer rig. Of course they did start up that Hemi and the nitro fumes filled the surrounding air. What a sweet smell. I did get lots of pics which I haven't uploaded as yet. I will be lookin' forward to attending this show next year also.

Hello Andrew and welcome. Be SURE to attend AMG's Milwaukee NNL about mid April of next year. This year we had 900+ models on the table, and you get to mingle with lots of nice folks from Wisconsin and neighboring states who love model cars & trucks.

Ok, on August 31st my church is having their 2nd annual car show. My Pastor was asking me today if I would be willing to help start a model car show/contest at the car show. I told him I sure would. What I’m thinking is having the first year a non competitive event, the following years could turn into an actual judged event if it grows into it. We will also have a building area so that we can build and so that people can see what/how we do what we do. Also it’s a chance to draw people into the hobby as well as a chance to promote the model car clubs that would be attending. What I would need is to know how many people would want to attend so that I know how much room and/or tables we would need to be set up. We would have an indoor area to set up, show and build.
I’m hoping to see you all there, bring your models and your real car to show and have a great day!!!!

I have also included the info from the churches web site.......

Greetings!

I am excited about our 2nd Annual car show here at Orchard Hill Assembly of God! Last year we had a good mix of classic and custom cars. Our first place winner drove a '69 Pro-Street Camaro! I would love to fill our up our lot and grass areas this year with cars and trucks from any year (we could probably fit up to 70 cars). THAT MEANS WE NEED YOUR SHOW CAR OR TRUCK! Please feel free to arrive early to get a spot. We will reserve 20 spots for those who register early in the CONTACT US page on this site. Once you register, we will confirm your entry by email or phone.

Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be given out!

I am looking forward to seeing you on Aug. 31st!

Blessings,
Pastor Bryan

Hey Kerry- Sounds like it may be interesting. If I can make it, I'll see what models I can get together and bring along to help launch the model portion. Just in case I do make it, what kind of info would be needed for each model...a brief description of model and what was done to it? Or, just bring some models to show.
