Alex Breza Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 In my past life before my triple bypass I was indulged in military modeling. Since then 4 years after I got the bug back but this time into muscle cars of the 60's. My military models were 1:35 and all done with Tamiya acrylic airbrush. My question to all is what would you recommend in Acrylic airbrush paints? Your reply back would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
Draggon Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I'm a total fan of the new Testors Airbrushable Acrylics. This pic has been posted ad nauseum, but I did this in 15 minutes.
ssroczyn Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Thanks for sharing pics with a car painted with those Acrylics. I saw those on the testors website for the first time not too long ago and I've been wanting to try them. Sounds like they have a good endorsement from you! I like what you did with them on that car! Steve
Monty Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Tamiya and Testors both offer quality acrylic paints that airbrush nicely and clean up easily. Some guys on here also use the cheap crafts-type acrylics (WalMart) for interiors etc.
Draggon Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 (edited) Thanks Steve! I have not had much luck with Tamiya acrylics, or craft paint, but was very surprised at these. They have a lot of pigment in them and cover great. Edited October 15, 2012 by Draggon
