Monty Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I know most of us can knock out a factory-new exhaust fairly easily, but what about an exhaust system that's been on for, say, 50k miles? It's probably still solid, just not shiny. What do you like to start with, and where do you go from there? If you have pics, please post them. Coffee just kicked in: Obviously the exhaust system doesn't age by itself, so any tips & corresponding pics on chassis weathering would be more than welcome.
Foxer Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 This is probably more worn than you were looking for, bu tit's worn none the less. It's just a few coatings of Sophisticated Finishes rust. I really how this does a well used exhaust.
Guest G Holding Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I use metalizers, burnt iron and burnt metal, fogged over a non buffed aluminum base...never took a picture of them, but I will try.
59 Impala Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 On this 57 Chevy I used Sophisticated Finishes rusting system on the exhaust along with some pastels. Dan
