Here are pics of a 40 Ford kustom i've just finished ...

Build to look like it would have been build circa '47 : top chop, hardtop, shortened side trim, 47 ford bumpers with tailites in the guards, fender skirts from amt 39 ford sedan kit, white walls and caddy sombreros from Modelhaus...

Looks awesome! I love the look. New street rods are cool, but nothing can beat the elegance and simplicity of those old style rides.

I am also partial to the 40 Ford, having built one myself. The chopped top looks real nice and I like the windshield treatment!

Is that the dash from the 47? -- It fits right in there (and possibly looks better than the 40 dash)

What engine is in it?

Beautiful period-correct kustom - looks like it was plucked from the streets of postwar L.A.!!! Kudos to your sanitary building job as well!!

Now that is one beautiful custom! The understated elegance of tradtional styled customs is timeless. I really love that color!

thanks for the kind of world guys ! :)

No engine in this, as i only make curbsides models...and the 47 dash had to be shortened to fit ! i believe you can find one already shortened in RMCM's catalog... ;)
