Jim Whalen Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Hi, I'm in the process of assembling this '32 Ford for our IPMS Hot Rod and Custom Car SIG theme table of 80 Years of the '32 Ford at Scale Model World in Telford, Shropshire, England next weekend. For those of you that don't know about the show it is massive and takes up the whole of a convention centre with 3 1/2 halls of heaven for model builders. The body, that was mastered by Lyle Willets, was purchased from Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland and there is some basic extra detailing (eg ignition wires, brakes, some photo-etch) going on as well. These cabriolets were imported into England so, for a change I have made it rhd as well. The paint is Ford Hot Magenta (mixed by Zero), a two part pearl. The interior and roof have been sprayed with Zero interior paint. Here's a few pictures: A quick mock-up to get a feel for the finished project (it will be fendered when its finished): Cheers, JIm
