pandamonium2112
Well i should say one of my projects. I've been kicking this idea around for a while and i've decided to go through with it. I'm going to scratch build trailer out of Brass Tubing and sheet Aluminum. The sleds are pre built (Ertl), they aren't to scale and may look funny, so if i have to, iv'e figured out how to scratch buid them too. Any tips you want to throw in would be appreciated.. pandamonium2112
best tip i can give you is to repaint the two on the right yuck What can i say, thats how i bought them! But that is exactly why they probably won't get used. the 2 on the left most resemble the 2 i own. Only difference is they are both 800cc and they are both long tracked (Blue has a 144" and Red has a 156")

Bartster
Check with Sean Stacey (sstacey47). He casts 1:25 a snowmobile in resin & it looks great ! It's an older model, but close enough for a great starting point if you wanna replicate yours. Bart
pandamonium2112
OK, i'm having a little trouble here. I've never scratch built anything like this (to scale) and i have all the dimensions but for the life of me, i can't seem to figure out how to do the math to convert to 1/25. Must be old age or a brain cramp.. Can you help out an old fart?
diymirage
get yourself a standard tape measure and a metric ruler 1 inch is 25.4 millimeters 25.4 divided by 25 is 1.016, lets just call it 1 so on a 1:25 scale 1 inch is 1 MM so if the track in real life is 144 inches the scale version should be 144 MM (5.67 inches)
