Do someone here it's going to this historical and real impresive Porsche Cars Show? As you guys can see in the information inside the link below, it's a vintage Porsche race cars reunion that will be celebrating the mighties 917K's and the 962's, but, it will include a swap meet, a memorabilia day, and even a Porsche model cars contest too. An awesome feauture of this show is that some of the most important drivers of the history of this cars will show up there. Some of them are Derek Bell, Brian Redman, George Follmer, Hurley Haywood, Richard Attwood, Vic Elford, and many others. Just chkeck the link below and see what's happening there on that weekend.

I'll be there! A few of us ACME members (we're in the same town as the Porsche NA headquarters and have been working with them setting it up; they visited our show last year w/our Porsche theme) will be running the Porsche model contest held there on Saturday, come by and say "hi" and bring any racing Porsche models you have. At least 6 ACME members will be there, including a couple that recently moved to Florida. Ken Mouton is coming from SC, Kevin Rogers/Strada Sports will be there too, though I have no idea if he's vending, he may be there just to see the show. It's going to be a fantastic weekend ;)

Are you missing your home show in PR to go to Rennsport?

It'll be me, Henry, Wayne Webers, Eric Cole, Matt Wadlinger, Brian Venable, and Scott Laudenslager going from ACME, and Ken Mouton is coming from SC. There's going to be a big contingent there from the GPMA as well, should be some excellent racing Porsche models. We'll have our ACME club IROC display from our NNL last year (all 15 cars from the first Riverside race), along with a new Daytona IROC display of at least several of the Daytona IROC Porsches (I'm building the orange #1 Donohue car for that).

Can't wait to see you and everyone else!

Simon, thanks for posting the information on this event. Since it's right in my backyard I guess I should check it out. How many of the days listed is the model contest going to be running? I haven't built any Porsche models before but it still would be cool to check out all of the fine builds that I'm sure will be presented.

Unfortunately for the remainder of the weekend I will be on the other side of the state at Garlits drag racing museum for a weekend Mopar car show that only happens once a year.

Bob, that's a good question and my answer is YES! I'm planning to take a few of my racing Porsche Models. If everyone you're saying here show up we will have selection of some of the best Porsche model specialist in the country.

Again....see you there!

I received an email from Mr.Henry Trent, cordinator of the Porsche Racing Model car show, and this are the classes there for the show on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007:

There will be 10 classes:

1-917

2-956/962

3-small scale

4-Large scale

5-Porsche race support ie:Transporter, pit cart etc.

6-Diorama

7-Pre 1964

8-1965-1975

9-1976-1981

10-1982-present.

The top vote getter will be Best of Show. This will not be a full blown IPMS style show, more like a NNL where the public, drivers and the model

builders will pick their favorites. Like it can be seen, it'll be real interesting. After all these years modeling, a model car show just with models of my favorite maker,...Porsche....+ real and historical authentic Porsches!

Another important message: Only PORSCHE RACING SUBJECTS in keeping with RennSport. I hope this can help better for those that plan to attend.

Thanks for posting the classes; even I hadn't seen that yet and I'm helping to run the show B)

Henry says the early classes may be pretty light; so any early cars will be especially nice to see. I'm bringing an RS-60 and a 904 for the early class, and a couple of IROC RSR's for our IROC displays.

It's gonna be great to seethose model that you had posted here, and about the display, that's one of my reason to attend to show. I can't wait to see it. Last year, Henry sent me the flyer for the Atlanta show, since it has Porsches like one of the show's themes. I couldn't made it, because, one I already attended the Atlanta Show back in year 2000( I got a top 10 then), and secondly, I had scheduled a trip to the Heartland Nationals in Overland Park, KS. That wasn't no reason to missed that show and I follow the Atlanta's Show throught the ACME club's website that almost cover it in real time. I guess you where there in 2000. That was my second show in the states then.

I hope this people will have more updates in the next days.
