Has anyone tried to fit the chassis and interior into the Jo-Han 70 442? I've been thinking of doing a 70 with the 72 chassis, just wanted to find out how well it works!! Thanks in advance everyone......

I'm going to be doing the same thing later after a couple of builds I'm working on. They happen to be AMT '69 442's. I don't know if the Revell chassis fits, but the AMT chassis fits ok under the JoHan body pretty well. Just so you know if the Revell doesn't work.

Also, remember that the Revell interior is a Convertible interior and would

need the mechanism bulges removed. plus, you might need to include the

trim for the inside of the C pillar.

I have plans to mount the Jo-Han 70 grill/bumpers to a Revell 72 to make the

70 442/W-30 Pace car

Thanks guys, I forgot about the 69 Andy, maybe I can use the 69 interior tub with the better detailed 72 chassis and running gear....

I started a '70 Rallye 350 project years ago, and got it 75% complete, so I did plenty of test fitting and found the Jo-Han body and interior tub work very well with the MPC '69 Olds 442/Hurts Olds chassis, engine, and suspension. I recall some massaging was needed at the core support area and bottom of the firewall, but they worked very well together. Yes, the JoHan interior tub has molded in seats and is shallow, but when painted various shades and sheens of black, the outdatedness wasn't all that apparent.

Kool, thanks for the info Casey. From what I'm hearing that is probably how I'm gonna go. I just want a more "up to date" looking chassis than what's in the 70 kit...
