clavender17 Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 dose anyone here know where i can get a "BIG" sleeper at ???
Ben Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Every once and a while, someone will list one on Ebay but that's about it. They're really easy to build and I offer resin parts to use with them such as a roof AC unit (modern low profile Dometic) and refrigerator face (as that's all you see when the fridge is installed into the wall) a Thetford Aqua Magic toilet, a Splendide washer/dryer face (again, they are installed in a cabinet so you only see the face), a double bowl sink. A restroom sink that's in a corner countertop and a microwave face. There might be more, I'd have to check.

clavender17 Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Any one know a good size for sheet styrene for a sleeper ???
Tom Geiger Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Ok cool.i might have to get a couple thangs from you in the near future do u know what thickness sheet styrene id need to do my own sleeper? You want to buy Evergreen plain sheet stock from your hobby shop. It comes in 6" x 12" sheets, 3 to a pack for about $4 for the last one I bought. The thicknesses go from .010", which is like paper, and I'd recommend using the .030" for sides, roof etc. and maybe the .040" for the base. I used .020" for the front and back of my camper and it is a bit light and flexes, which you don't want!
Edsel-Dan Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Check with the hobby shop, but also check Evergreen's website. They also offer their .01-.08 inch thick in Larger sizes. 11x14 & 12x24 Inch!! Not cheap. if you have to buy more than you want/need, but, Great if you need LARGE areas with No joints. Want Paper like sheets, try their .005. That is THIN & VERY Flexible!! I use it for trim or shimming!!
mountaindewd Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 (edited) I've known some to use .040 for the shell walls and it may be ok. I use .080 as I like the stiffness of it and that would probably be more accurate to the 1;1 walls. This is one I built a few years ago. Walls, floor and ceiling are made with .080. All interior parts structures are .040. Cabinet doors and drawers are .020. Edited January 22, 2013 by mountaindewd
