THarrison351 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I had to put a bunch of recent builds and diecasts under glass. So, I needed to rearrange my display shelf. I thought I might show off some past builds or diecast repaints. I will limit each post to six pictures. If anyone has a problem, let me know. My first collection is AMT Custom/Proshop cars that I detailed and foiled. I loved these kits because when I couldn't paint or had limited time, it gave instant gratification. 1948 Ford Woody. Nice kit to build but I wasn't to crazy about the chassis and windows. 1955 Chevy Nomad. Nice looking car. The tailgate/window is kind of fussy. 1956 Ford Fairlane. Easy build amazing kit for age. 1957 Chrysler 300. Big beautiful car with great detail. 1957 Ford Thunderbird. The kit design shows its age but, still looks good. 1957 Chevy BelAir. I think everyone has built this kit at least once. The extra 409 dispays nice.
THarrison351 Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) Some more AMT Custom/pro Shop builds. 1958 Plymouth Belvedere. Nice to build. Sad the side spear is messed up. 1958 Edsel Pacer. Great build with nice detail. 1962 Ford Thunderbird. Nice car great detail. 1966 Buick Lowrider. HeHe, didn't like the tiny tires, so I used the wheels fom a 65 Galaxie. 1966 Ford Mustang. Another kit showing its age. 1967 Chevy Impala SS. I tried to make the modified kit look stock. Wild color. I always thought this Fred Lorezen paint scheme. It made a nice clean car. Don't remember decals, but the color is Wimbeldon white. . Carl Edwards 2004 #99 Superchips F-150. This picture does a lot for these decals. Don't remember where they came from, but they look like a photocopy. Paint is some old Duplicolor bright white. Carl Edwards 2005 #99 Scotts Fusion. JWTBM decals? I think the paint is Duplicolor bright white and some Duplicolor engine paint bright green. Carl Edwards (see a theme?) 2004 #99 no sponsor Fusion. Crappy who knows decals and black paint. Bill Elliott 2009 #21 Motorcraft Fusion. More crappy decals but the paint is original Action, I just removed the pad print. Aftermarket decals (of course) and Tru-Match #11 red paint. Bill Elliott 1990 #9 CoorsThunderbird. It was nice before I stored it years ago. Clear enamel paint yellowed in non acid-free paper.
