Sam Cates Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Anyone know of a good caster offering these or similar tires in 1/25-1/24? I am looking for a set or two for my '55 panel truck.
zz383mero Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Let me know if you find anything. I need a set also. There is not much out there for off-road custom builds.
jeffs396 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Al @ Ma's resin makes quite a few different off-road tires, but none exactly like those pictured. Check 'em out: http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/truck-tires--wheels/off-road--pickup-tires/
Erik Smith Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Sam - what size of military type tire are you looking for? I have a set from Italeri's Toyota Landcruiser that I won't be using. They are close to stock size (1/24), I would guess.
mikemodeler Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 You might also want to check with Casey, he was looking into casting some tires like that.
cnaind Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Thanks Jeff! I don't have anything like the first tire but is the second one the same as the Power wagon or Jeep tire? I'm making the wheels & tires from the Italeri Mil jeep now & they are a slightly smaller version of the PW tire.
zz383mero Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) I found these on B-N-L Resins. http://b-n-lresins.com/photo3_8.html Edited February 7, 2013 by zz383mero
espo Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 You might see if your local hobbie shop has the reissue of the WW II Jeep from MPC. I think that it's from Round 2. The tires look very much like the pictures of the four 1:1 tires in your post.

Not a bad rendition of them, just not correct military tires.
