Hi you all, well we been having some storms here in PA, so I'm doing what I can on a few projects that I have going.

I got the rear seat floor pan area done just a bout (just have to add the wheel well). I also got the original factory kit shock cross member area taken care of as well and got the new trunk pan piece for that area almost done. Working on the wheel wells now.

Anyways I'm going to leave the photos do the talking. Please over look my camera, I think it's starting to go out on me.

Hi you all, still working on at things. I took alittle time off from the back end area and started to do some work on the console. I am going to be well trying to use real wood on this project for the wood grain stuff. I built my own mini table saw to make the wooden pieces for this project plus another one. The trunk pan still needs to be fab up yet with using a different thickness of stryne. I also had to glue the chassis into the shell for the time being.

Here is some photos.

I had a issue here as the gap was two different sizes

I admire/envy your building skills especially your ability to keep things symmetrical. What are you using as a reference??????

joe.

Hi Joe, thanks for the kind comment. I'm using real console photos as ref and also my own real console. I made a mistake in the one side on the model console and am redoing the front side piece. for the chassis I'm real 2nd gen charger photos as ref as well along with my real charger. I hope to have photos up later on here tonight.

Hi you all, well, as the weather around my region bounces back & fourth as in one day it's nice or afew days it's nice then wam back to either raining or snowing or both! I got back to this project once again to tackle a few things on the plastic side before turning the stuff into metal. I'm working on the floor board now, correcting the area. It's like another member said not long ago in another area of the forum about the floors in models and how the companys can mess it up. I agree with that member. In these chargers, they have slight drop down inside the doors on the floor. The floor pose to be the same as the chassis floor board impression is not like the interior floor board that is flat across. So I'm making the correctness on this one. On top of that, I'm also reworking the console and modifying it big time to be way more correct to how the real ones look. Anyways, I'm going to get onto posting the progress photos.

Now here is the console, as you all can see, it started out as the original kit console. I? already moved the console lid edge up 1mm even if that. I cut the console lid out as well.

Here I started to mark more things out as you can see

Now here you can see how far the front driver side of it bowed outwards of the original kit style

Working now on the driver side of it on the outside piece of the shell

Now on the inner pass side of it

Now on this side, I got a lot of detail to add as you can see

Now if you look right here at the very front of the console, you will notice that the company didn't put a drop down on the console at all. The reason is there floor tube is 1mm thick and instead of them doing like what the factorys did with the floor pans on the real cars, they decided to add to layers to the model chargers floor. one being the chassis and the 2nd being the charger interior tube. So now I'm correcting that issue on this build. I'm building the console sides up to add a front to the console before removing the console plate.

Note, the pass side console trim, carpet area is in the correct spot. Sadly I still have to remove it and re-add it.
