MoparWoman Jamie Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 No worries, we like lots of photos. Amazing work, my eyes are glued to this build. Thanks man, I have more photos coming. The console is almost done.
MoparWoman Jamie Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Well I have had an off week. Lost one friend, got some yard work done. Been working on the semi project and this one mostly. I been filing away on this console this week. It's almost there though. I had to take and redo to the console top plates as well. I even glued the console into the chassis and one seat just to see how it looks and how much more I had to file down so things with the dash in place would look. Anyways on with the photos. LOL
MoparWoman Jamie Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 I removed the console back out of the chassis, did more filing on it
MoparWoman Jamie Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 I needed to drop it down more and also reshape the gear plate area as well, it's still in rough stage yet. Test fitting Yes, as you can see, I glued the shifting gear leaver hole shut. I am going to rework that area as well.
MoparWoman Jamie Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Here is a pass side view of the console Here you can see the side plate trim is now in bad shape.. don't worry. Here is a good close up Here is the new top plate trim. Now the thing is, on the the real consoles they are slightly tilted, the kit one is not. So I used a hand file, a wide one about 1/4 wide and easy filed the side all the way down at an angle until the kit trim pop off. Not, I'll be leaving the top straight in front trim piece on for the time being
MoparWoman Jamie Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Here you can see the angle that I filed at
MoparWoman Jamie Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Here I started working on the driver side now Here is a nice shot
MoparWoman Jamie Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 You can see the top starting to take shape now I hope you all enjoyed this update, I have more photos yet on the camera. Comments are always welcome on the project.
MoparWoman Jamie Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 I decided to take a few days off the other day from the semi truck build and get a few small things taking care of on this project as well. I got the new camera in, been working with it trying to get use to the new camera. Anyways I jump to the front of the front end clip that I been tickering with. I got alot of the detail work in the center area but still have a few small things to add yet. I been using a real charger as ref on figuring out where to locate some of the panel designs at. The front clip is a Revell one that I am correcting. Anyways on to the photos.. Drawing on the locations, in rough stage The top plate which is the grill frame piece
MoparWoman Jamie Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 Adding some more detail The driverside
MoparWoman Jamie Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 Then I looked and I rwalized things was to small. So I decided to start on the one side which is the pass side, again. Engraving and got it looking good
