Shelby 427 1965 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Hey everyone, I'm building Tamiya's reissued 787b. After forever of searching for the black test car decals, no dice. So, I'm doing my own thing, and it'll be loosely inspired by the Gran Turismo black 787b. It'll be my first time making custom decals so I hope that works out well. This is how it stands at the minute: (I'll be touching up that steering wheel before it goes into the car.) Cheers!
Shelby 427 1965 Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 Small update, haven't had much time for modelling. Cheers!
Shelby 427 1965 Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 Cheers guys! I got all excited at the look of it and just HAD to mock it up.. ignore the masking tape. The side panels haven't been airbrushed yet so they don't look great, but they will be a lighter shade black in the end anyway. Cheers!
Shelby 427 1965 Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) Main assembly finished but there seems to be a fitment issue with body, dammit. Nothing's glued yet so I'll work on trying to fix it somehow.. Any ideas? After I finish my next exam I'll start the custom decals. No wiper yet, I'll put it on after the window decal. Cheers! Jonathan Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Looks great! Are you familar with the history of the real 787B? I have a RX-7 sitting in my garage right now. They share a common bloodline.
