freightshaker Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Here's my two, ones a setback axle built like the trucking grew up in and the other was a product of no direction the looks similar to the truck from over the top.
scummy Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 (edited) Geez ray , thats an awsomly heavy duty reo . Freightshaker , the australian army had those set back front axle reo's in the 60's-70's . We took them to vietnam and brought them home again , they are now in the hands of private companys . There was one manual and the rest were automatics . Edited February 16, 2013 by scummy

The Modeling Hermit Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Here's one that I use in my avatar. It's just your basic truck repair shop wrecker.
Chuck Most Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I'm currently working on a DR built as a retired County plow truck, I'll see if I can dig it out and post some pics of what's done so far.
Guest Johnny Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I have one going that will be pulling a bull rack!
AzTom Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Here is one I did back in the 90's while laying on my back after back surgery. Never got the mirrors on but I have them some place.

Brinx Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 (edited) Western Star with Double Mercury sleeper. (inspired by Doug Long, aka Kodiak Island Modeler...after seeing his version of the W/WS with double Mercury) Edited December 29, 2013 by Brinx
olsbooks Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Those are some great works and your photography is great too. Thanks for sharing.
rctruk Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Here is is one I built. It is a fun kit to build
Brinx Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 @ rctruk, Jeff, your truck was the other one I was looking for to cite "inspirational credit" (along with Doug's version). I will say, for a 40ish year old tech tooling kit, these rigs do build quite nicely and rather quickly (working on a Diamond Reo day cab right now). brinx
Chris guthro Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Working on a western star and have a wip going as well, very good kit!! Wish someone sold the hood and grill for it tho to convert to the 90s
kilrathy10 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 All these trucks look great.....I like them ALL...
