Hi,

A few suggestions from some of the knowledgeable people on here would be really helpful. I'm building a Revell 2010 Camaro that is a street/strip machine, kind of like something you see at Hot Rod's drag week.

I'm thinking of using the kit block and putting the induction system on from a Pontiac GTA prostreet (hi rise intake and two carbs) - I think it'd look good but would people fit such a system to a late model Camaro?

Here's some progress pics:

A resin outlaw hood intended for the AMT Camaro was too big so I used the centre section and blended it into the Revell hood.

It has been back-halved with the Revell Pontiac GTA prostreet:

A couple mock ups:

I've cleaned up almost all the parts for it now and just working on putting some sort of roll bar into it.

Any comments and suggestions warmly welcomed!!

Cheers,

Jim

Thanks for the reply Mark - I was thinking turbocharging might be popular. I'll have to see if I can find some turbo or supercharger set-ups in late Camaros on the internet.

Look great so far nice work. Yes you can do that intake setup and people do it. There is an N/A (naturally aspirated) class in drag week. You can do the turbo or supercharger also, They have all kinds of different classes.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies guys.

Joe - thanks for the info on the different types of drag week classes. I normally like to see a big supercharger on top of a drag engine but I feel a pro stock look might be something a bit different (and a lot less work!).

Cheers,

Jim

look at my engine in the 2013 cannonballrun-thread, on page 15 for a nice twin turboset-up. That engine is going inside a 2006 camaro consept.

Cool Project! It'd look cool with TwinTurbo setup, and then we would have a challenger for Larry Larson with his Chevy Nova. B) It looks really good so far.
