gtx6970 Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 (edited) Whats a good color match for the blue interior in the Old Reliable 1962 Impala superstocker . I know it was blue , but is there anything readily avail to show the color ? When I did mine many years ago, I did it in red, and would like to change it someday soon. LoneWolf15 Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Testors Olds Engine Blue comes close ! It's a fair representation of Chevy's Marina Blue .
gtx6970 Posted February 27, 2013 Author Posted February 27, 2013 Thanks , I found several decent pictures on red int cars but blue int shots seemed to be a wee bit harder to come up with. I think it was actually a 2 tone blue, but I'll settle with just one shade and call it good. Got a new interior painted yesterday afternoon. and the car re-assembled today. It looks SO MUCH better now. I'll just re-use the red interior on the Cone Cheverolet / Hayden Profitt car Thanks again
jjsipes Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Which are you working on? The 62 Impala was white white red artwork with red interior and the 62 Bel Air was white with Teal lettering and interior. Neither one had blue interior in them that I have seen. gtx6970 Posted March 1, 2013 Author Posted March 1, 2013 It's the bel air btw. I know about the teal color and by the pictures I found it looks like it was kind of a 'teal blue' seats and 2 tone colors on the door panels . The color I used is close,(its a duplicolor rattle can ) may not be dead on , but good engough for my shelf . It looks a lot better than my big screw up with red interior. This car was done back before my internet / google search days . Decals I will be using looks light blue in the add. but they may very well be a teal color, I'll know next week sometime Thanks for the note
